MOVE WITH THE TIMES

Evolution in technology and societal thinking is driving change in our lives, in commerce and the way we do business.
Moda Law is a part of that movement. Moda Law strives to detach itself from the staid approach of providing legal services.

Moda Law is the legal practice of Neil von Bertouch, specialising in the commercial needs of individuals and small and medium enterprises. It was formed in response to a simple question - how can legal services be done better in a modern world?

To answer this question, Moda Law:

     Leverages technology

Is transparent and adaptive on pricing

     Is about collaborating with clients

     Uses plain language

     Believes in Climate Change!

ABOUT

As a lawyer, I like to get involved in people's business. My practice area is assisting SME's with all of their legal needs; contracting, leasing and service agreements to business structures and corporate governance. I enjoy helping people with their personal affairs; family trusts, wills and private arrangements. Not-for-profits, clubs and associations, I'm here for you too.

Before I was a lawyer, I was in banking and I've always been a Springbok fan. Despite all this, I have some charisma and, perhaps, a little style (I made this website after all). Before I get to telling you what I do as a lawyer, let me tell you who I am - out of the suit and tie:

I am a lover of sports, all sports. The younger me would take part in anything; football, rugby, triathlons, running, swimming. The older me keeps at it too, but now it's for fun and fitness: social football, gym and exercise...and the occasional big hike (el Camino in Spain and the PCT in the USA are on my resume).

I read, and I declare here that e-readers have changed my life. Of course I read the classics and the greats, but I can't pass up on good Sci-Fi whenever I find it (recommendations gladly given and received). I also devour news, articles and papers  on all things science, space and tech.

Finally, I am incapable of turning down a good adventure - anything that will take me to an exotic corner of the world and send me back with a great story to tell. In fact, it was on my last adventure (a little walk from Canada to Mexico) that I came up with the idea for Moda Law.
